Well I was stationed aboard the USS Saugus YTB 780 as a Fireman recruit in 1980 and left in 1983 as an E-4. I worked for 3 tugmasters BMC's Dixon, Smith and Thaxton.

I was a little unique in as much as I was a british citizen having left the UK in 1979, I married a scottish girl and we had a baby in 1982 who was born across the river in Gourock.
